TUCSON, Ariz. – Myla Tate and the Women's 4x400 were victorious for Sun Devil Track & Field in the team's Outdoor season-opener at the University of Arizona's Willie Williams Classic at Drachman Stadium.
Tate notched her first win as a Sun Devil, taking the triple jump in 12.61m, now the ninth-best mark in Women's Outdoor team history. The Women's 4x400 of Taiwo Kudoro-Ashantai Bollers-Ava McCumber Gandara-Taylor Brown went 3:40.71 for the second Sun Devil title of the weekend.
The two first-place efforts were among the seven top-three efforts from the Sun Devils in Tucson, a strong opening to the Outdoor campaign.
