SAN FRANCISCO – With the Devils' third honoree through the first five weeks of Pac-12 competition, Tanner Hall receives his first career Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week nod.
Hall's win vs. #15 Brooks Black (Illinois) on Sunday was the most exciting match of the afternoon, the sophomore winning a 4-3 decision after six rounds of overtime.
He has won 11 of his last 12 matches and surpassed his freshman year win total recently with two weeks of regular season and postseason yet to go.
Hall is the No. 5 ranked heavyweight in the nation according to the first NCAA coaches' panel released in mid-January, rankings used to determine and seed March's NCAA championships.
