TEMPE, Ariz. – Canada Basketball today announced that Arizona State University sophomore guard Taya Hanson will be one of 12 athletes representing Canada at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand (July 20-28).
Last year Hanson averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals in helping lead Canada to a silver medal at the FIBA U18 Championship.
Hanson played in every game for the Sun Devils last season, finishing fifth on the team in 3-pointers. Hanson knocked down a career-high four triples in ASU's season-opening win over Incarnate Word.
