The second-ranked Arizona State men's golf team sits in the lead after the first day of the Thunderbird Invitational held at Papago Golf Course. After winning back-to-back in 2017 and 2018, the Sun Devils look to keep the success rolling in the first year the tournament is being played at Papago.
The Sun Devils lead by nine strokes after two rounds (277-278), with the ASU B team tied for fifth (285-281).
Junior Chun An Yu finished the first two rounds at 9-under (66-67) and has a four-stroke lead over the No. 1 ranked golfer in the country, Oklahoma State's Matthew Wolff, (70-67) and Marquette's Oliver Farrell (70-67).
