Four top-ten finishes helped the fourth-ranked Arizona State men's golf team capture their second victory of the year by a one-stroke margin over second-place Texas at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic on Tuesday.
The team was led by Mason Andersen, finishing tied for first with two other players at six-under, and then winning the playoff over Cole Hammer (Texas) and Blake Hathcoat (St. Mary's) by making par on No. 18. Hammer and Hathcoat both bogeyed the hole.
Three other Sun Devils finished in the top ten. Chun An Yu tied for fourth place at 3-under.
