TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State returned to the friendly confines of Wells Fargo Arena and got back to its winning ways in the process, getting its largest win of Pac-12 play in a 84-53 victory over visiting California.
The Sun Devils (20-9 and 8-9 Pac-12) were paced by a stout defensive effort that did not surrender a single made three-point attempt (0-18).
"That was a great win," said head coach Bobby Hurley after the victory. "I thought we defended with a lot of energy for most of the game and guarded the line really well so that was a positive.
