TEMPE, Ariz. – Behind Monica Vaughn's career-low 64 in round one, the No. 5 Arizona State women's golf team finished in a tie for the team lead (-10) with No. 15 Baylor following the first 18 holes of the 45th annual PING/ASU Invitational.
Vaughn's first round score also set a new program record for low individual round vs. par (-8), topping the previous record most recently set by Louise Stahle (64/-7) in 2005. She shot the first eagle of the day on hole 14, birdieing eight other holes.
