SUGAR GROVE, Illinois – After an extremely chilly and rainy first day of competition at the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf Championships, during which the wind chill was in the mid to upper 30's, the No. 7 Sun Devils are currently in a four-way tie for third place.
"In my 15 years of coaching, today was in the top five for toughest conditions," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "We talked all year about and trained at being mentally strong and we really were able to put that into practice today. We left some shots out there but I think we're in a pretty good position right now.
