TEMPE – For the 32nd consecutive year, the Sun Devil women's tennis team led by coach Sheila McInerney has punched its ticket to the NCAA Tennis Championships and will face Illinois in the Durham, North Carolina, region Saturday at 10 a.m. PT.
"It's nice to go somewhere we haven't been in a while," coach Sheila McInerney said. "It's tough to travel across the country, with finals and big projects for the girls. It's tough, but it's good and that's kind of what you expect in the NCAA Tournament."
The bid to the tournament came after the Devils recorded their 25th-straight winning campaign, finishing 13-10 overall and 5-5 in the Pac-12.
