TEMPE -- On the road for a second consecutive weekend, the Sun Devils women's tennis program was spread out across the country, with two athletes competing in Texas and others playing in Michigan.
Giulia Morlet compiled a strong showing at this week's ITF W15 in Lubbock, Texas, winning her first two matches before falling in the quarterfinals round on Friday. The sophomore from Paris, France, Morlet is competing in the first fall season of her Sun Devil career -- and proving she can hang with some of college tennis' finest in Lubbock.
Patricija Spaka was the other Sun Devil to join Morlet in the tournament, but lost in her opening match to Baylor's Anita Sahdiieva, 6-2, 5-7, 4-6.
