TEMPE – Fourteenth-ranked Arizona State returns to the Whiteman Tennis Center this weekend, looking to stop a three-match slide against Wichita State and Rice, Friday and Sunday.
The Devils dropped their first three matches of the season last weekend when they took on three top-15 opponents in No. 2 North Carolina, No. 9 Princeton and No. 14 Virginia in Chicago at the ITA Indoor National Championships.
Despite the losses, senior Savannah Slaysman provided a bright spot for the Devils as she started the weekend upsetting No. 23 Alle Stanford of North Carolina, then wrapped up the tournament with a sweep of Chloe Gullickson of Virginia.
