TEMPE – After ASU took an early two-run lead, No. 9 Stanford (36-10, 11-8 Pac-12) had four unanswered runs to take the opener of the series, 4-2, on Friday night at Farrington Stadium.
Yanni Acuña and Jazmine Hill singled to start the game for the Sun Devils (21-21, 5-14 Pac-12) and each came around to score on an error and a sacrifice from Makenna Harper. ASU held that 2-0 lead into the third when the Cardinal pulled even with two runs.
Kylee Magee got the start in the circle, going for five innings and having two strikeouts.
