STANFORD, Calif. – No. 10 Arizona State softball (31-6, 12-1) fell to Stanford (30-12, 7-6) 4-1 on Friday night. The Sun Devils were held to three hits, with the only run coming in the first inning.
This concludes the 20-game win streak for the Sun Devils and their first loss in conference play this season. The 20-game win streak will go down as the fifth longest streak in program history.
Cydney Sanders hit her team-leading 15th home run on the year, it's the fifth straight game that Sanders has hit a home run for the Sun Devils.
