Tucson, Ariz. – No. 20 Arizona State (23-5, 4-0 Pac-12) dominated its in-state rival, No. 14 Arizona (19-8, 0-4 Pac-12) on Friday night, 9-2. The Sun Devils combined for eight hits and three doubles that spanned over four innings in their explosive win over the Wildcats.
Arizona attempted to come back in the third inning after scoring two runs, but after a scoreless inning for both parties, the Sun Devils broke open in the fifth by scoring three runs. Two runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh added a cushion to the Sun Devil lead.
