When Arizona State men's basketball coach Bobby Hurley landed Rob Edwards from Cleveland State two years ago, he thought the 6-foot-4 guard had the potential to be the team's leading scorer. He said as much when talking to the media before last season started.
Two games into the new campaign Hurley is finally getting just what he had hoped. Edwards, the lone senior on the squad, scored 23 points on 6-for-13 shooting from the field to ignite the Sun Devils to a 90-49 win over visiting Central Connecticut State in the home opener on Thursday at Desert Financial Arena.
