TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil Track & Field shined in its season-opening meets at the McFerrin 12-Degree Invite (College Station, Texas) and the NAU Axe 'Em Open (Flagstaff, Arizona), as it talllied three titles and 16 top-three finishes on Friday.
The Sun Devils won a trio of events at Texas A&M's McFerrin 12-Degree Invite -- all of which are newcomers this season via Evaline Chepkoech (women's mile), Dennis Rono (men's mile) and Alexia Schofield (women's 300m). Schofield's day didn't stop there, as she also took third in the women's triple jump and was on the Sun Devils' third-place 4x400 relay.
