LOS ANGELES – The Arizona State women’s soccer team was not able to make an early advantage stand up as USC scored two goals in the second half to come back and claim a 2-1 win on Friday.
Sara Tosti got ASU on the board with her second goal of the season in the 23rd minute to give the Sun Devils a 1-0 lead.
The Sun Devils (4-7, 0-4 Pac-12) were able to hold the Trojans at bay for the rest of the first half despite an 11-4 advantage in shots. They would not be as fortunate in the second half as USC’s Tamara Mejia tied the game less than three minutes into the second half.
