Tucson, Ariz. -- Arizona State soccer scores three unanswered goals and improve to 5-0 on the season with a 3-1 victory over UC Irvine Friday afternoon at Mulcahy Stadium in Tucson.
The game did not start the way the Sun Devils had hoped, as the Anteaters were able to strike for their first goal of the match in just the 13th minute of play, forcing the ASU offense to adjust and find their footing.
Just 11 minutes later, ASU sophomore Eva Van Deursen would tie things up with an opportunistic strike in the box, making it a 1-1 game at the first water break of the half.
