TUCSON – No. 19/18 Sun Devil Baseball dropped a midweek contest against the Arizona Wildcats, 20-0, Wednesday night in Tucson.
Nu'u Contrades paced the Sun Devils (25-11, 11-3) with two hits, improving his career marks against Arizona (19-15, 6-12) to 9-for-16 (.562) in four games. Luke Keaschall also went 1-3 at the plate.
The Wildcats jumped on ASU southpaw Timmy Manning in a first-inning plagued by high-winds, tapping Manning for six runs. The Wildcats scored in all eight innings they hit and took a double-digit lead in the fourth.
