STANFORD, Calif. – The Sun Devil Men's Golf team took care of business at the Stanford Regional, qualifying for the 2019 NCAA Men's Golf Championship after finishing tied for second as a team.
This is the fifth consecutive year the program has advanced to the National Championship, the last three coming under 2019 Pac-12 Coach of the Year Matt Thurmond. After being on the outside looking-in following the completion of the First Round, the Sun Devils turned it on and proved why they were awarded a No. 1 national seed. They put together the second-lowest round of the day during each of the final two days, only finishing behind host Stanford, who took home the team Regional title.
