Cincinnati, Ohio – The Arizona State football squad (5-2; 2-2) jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, but Cincinnati (5-2; 3-1) grabbed the momentum after an early turnover and held off the Sun Devils in a 24-14 Bearcat win at Nippert Stadium Saturday afternoon.
ASU went 66 yards on six plays on its first possession to grab the early lead on a Cam Skattebo two-yard run and had early momentum after a Keith Abney interception, but the Bearcats capitalized on an ASU turnover deep in Sun Devil territory and then scored on four of its next five possessions to take a 24-7 halftime lead.
