Spencer Torkelson looks good in altitude as well. The former Arizona State star and 2020 top overall pick of the Detroit Tigers took part of the Futures Game at Coors Field in Denver as part of the MLB All-Star weekend.
On Sunday before the game, MLB analysists Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo had teams for the batting practice home run derby. Team Mayo won the competition mostly due to the effort of Torkelson, who hit 10 home runs by himself and matched Team Callis’ total number which included former Oregon State star Adley Rutschman.
Torkelson started at third base and batted eighth for the AL Futures.
