TEMPE, ARIZ. -- The No. 14 Arizona State (19-6, 2-3) softball team clinched the Pac-12 series against No. 6 Washington (22-4, 2-2) on Saturday afternoon in a big bat symphony, hitting three home runs, including two from Kindra Hackbarth to secure the series with a 6-1 win.
The dominant pitching tandem in the circle for the Sun Devils and the explosive ASU offense did not make the choice easy as the Devils cruised to the series clinch. The Sun Devils played a non-conference bout in the second game of the doubleheader against the Huskies as the nightcap, falling 14-7 in a heavy bat battle.
