TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State soccer team (8-5-2, 4-3-2) ended the regular season with a loss to state rival, Arizona (9-5-1, 4-5-1) in a heartbreaker on Friday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
Arizona got the early lead in the 16th minute and never looked back as they held the Sun Devil offense to just nine shots. Midway through the second half, the Wildcats sealed the deal with a two-goal lead in the final home stand of the season.
This was the third straight loss for the Sun Devils since beating Stanford on April 4th.
