It took a while. Probably too long. But Arizona State, getting key production from a four-guard lineup, powered past Cal Poly 96-74 on Sunday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
Early in the second half, with ASU trailing 46-43, coach Bobby Hurley went with guards Tra Holder (6-1), Shannon Evans (6-1), Torian Graham (6-5) and Kodi Justice (6-5), along with forward Obinna Oleka (6-7), a combination that sparked the Sun Devils.
After Cal Poly stretched its lead to 48-43, Holder hit a 3 and Graham dunked twice to knot the score. When Oleka put-back a Graham miss and was fouled, his 3-point play gave the Sun Devils a 58-53 lead with 13 minutes to go.
