Semptimphelter has started in all of ASU's 23 games in the 2022-23 season thus far. He is tied for the lead in the nation in shutouts with four this season against Bemidji State, Colgate, Alaska Anchorage, and Air Force. He tops the NCAA in minutes with 1357 and saves with 725, fourth nationally in save percentage (.922) among goaltenders with at least 15 games played, and ranks 10th in wins with 11.
His four shutouts this season starts to close in on an ASU record for single season shutouts set by former goaltender Joey Daccord. In 2018-19, Daccord notched seven shutouts in a single season to claim the program record.
