FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – No. 17 Sun Devil women's swimming knocked down a school record while Youssef Selim took home second place in the one-meter springboard to highlight day one of the 2020 Pac-12 Championships. Emma Nordin, Erica Laning, Lindsay Looney and Cierra Runge combined to break the previous record.
"Tonight was a good start to our meet," coach Bob Bowman said. "The 800 free relay was an ASU record and we should be very competitive in that race at the NCAAs."
Nordin, Laning, Looney and Runge got the Sun Devils off to a hot start in the evening session, racing to a school-record setting time of 6:58.
