Arizona State practiced Saturday inside the Verde Dickey Dome. After practice, the Sun Devils and the marching band held a "mixer" of sorts. Both Graham and senior quarterback Mike Bercovici talked to the students.

Coach Todd Graham's opening statement to media: "This is a really cool event. One of the most important (groups) to me -- obviously, our football team, but next to that is our band and spirit squad. They work hard, just as hard as how we're working. One of the things I learned years ago when I was a high school coach in Texas, the band and the students dictate the atmosphere in the stadium.
