TEMPE – Sophomore Sara Svetac has been named Big 12 Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon after leading the team to a victory over No. 15 Pepperdine over the weekend.
It's the first Big 12 weekly honor by a Sun Devil this season and Svetac's first weekly award in her career.
The Croatian played a pivotal role in helping the Sun Devils move to 3-2 on the season, as she helped clinch both the doubles point and the match against Pepperdine. She moved to 4-1 on the season when paired with Karin Altori in doubles after defeating Duru Söke/Alexa Haron, 6-2 on court two.
