SANTA MONICA, Calif.—The Arizona State sand volleyball team wrapped competition at the Pac-12 Tournament with the pairs brackets on Sunday at the Annenberg Community Beach House.
In the Gold Bracket, Juniors Bianca Arellano and Macey Gardner picked up a win in the opening round over UCLA’s Karly Drolson and Rachel Inouye, 21-8, 21-12, before falling in the quarterfinals, 21-14, 21-11, to USC’s Sophie Bukovec and Alexa Strange.
After dropping their opening round match, junior Whitney Follette and freshman Halle Harker picked up a 21-19, 12-21, 15-12 win over the UCLA duo of Drolson and Inouye, while seniors Jordy Checkal and Bethany Jorgensen defeated California’s Inanna Eshoo and Ashley Johnson, 21-19, 21-13.
