Sand Devils Fall to USC; Slated for 4:45 p.m. PT Matchup with Oregon

STANFORD, Calif. — The seventh-seeded Arizona State beach volleyball team (10-19) fell to No. 2 seed Southern California by a tally of 4-1 in the first round of the 2018 Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championship at Stanford Sand Volleyball Stadium, Thursday morning.

By virtue of the loss, the Sand Devils will transition to the double-elimination tournament's contenders bracket, slated to take on the ninth-seeded Oregon Ducks at 4:45 p.m. PT.

The Maroon and Gold's standout sophomore duo of Ellyson Lundberg and Katelyn Carballo garnered the team's lone victory of the dual, earning a straight-set 21-16, 21-19 win over the Women of Troy's Joy Dennis and Cammie Dorn.
