Barring last-second changes, Arizona State soon will announce Danny Gonzales as the football program’s new defensive coordinator, a source confirmed Friday to azcentral sports.
Gonzales is in his seventh season at San Diego State, where this season he served as defensive coordinator and safeties coach. The Aztecs play Army in Saturday's Armed Forces Bowl. An official announcement of Gonzales' hire likely would come soon thereafter.
