Arizona State pivoted two weeks ago and became a power running team upon orders from coach Herm Edwards.
Using that style, the Sun Devils were able to play Washington close last week and beat Oregon State, 52-24, Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
But if the Sun Devils want to be more than mediocre this year – and let’s assume they do – quarterback Manny Wilkins needs to be more accurate on deep throws, and the Sun Devils better find a way to get the ball into the hands of their best player, receiver N’Keal Harry, more often than they have the past two weeks.
