Arizona State junior Remy Martin admitted his last shot seemed to stay on the rim forever.
Sun Devils coach Bobby Hurley said it got every part of the rim and the backboard before falling in.
For the 9,628 in attendance it seemed like an eternity, too, but Martin's mid-range jumper with 19 seconds left proved the difference as ASU slipped past visiting USC 66-64 on Saturday at Desert Financial Arena.
"He had an open look and that's his shot. When he gets to his spot on the mid-range shots, those are his best. He stops really fast and gets right into his shot," Hurley said.
