Arizona State's Remy Martin has been tabbed by many as the favorite to win Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2021, should he return for his senior season.
But the ASU point guard could end up winning a far more prestigious award should he decide to opt out of the NBA draft by the Aug. 3 deadline, at least according to one writer.
He could be the national player of the year.
CBS Sports' David Cobb predicted Martin to be the nation's top college basketball player in a recent story.
ASU has had three Pac-12 Player of the Year recipients (Eddie House, Ike Diogu, James Harden), but has never had a national player of the year in college basketball.
