What seemed to be a Herculean task a week or so ago, doesn't seem quite as daunting any more. Oh, the difference one win can make.
The Arizona State Sun Devils (10-5, 1-1) continue their tough three-game stretch to start Pac-12 play with a 8:30 p.m. showdown Saturday against No. 9 Oregon (13-3, 2-1), the team most have pegged to win the conference.
The stretched started with a 28-point loss to Arizona Jan. 4, then came Thursday night's game at Oregon State won by the Sun Devils 82-76. Gill Coliseum can be one of the more difficult venues in the conference for visiting teams but the Sun Devils responded with one of their best performances of the season led by junior point guard Remy Martin and senior sharp-shooter Rob Edwards.
