Sun Devil golfers Jon Rahm and Max Rottluff are set to tee it up at this week’s U.S. Amateur Championship (Aug. 17-23) at Olympia Fields Country Club in Chicago, Illinois.
Rahm currently ranked the No. 1 Amateur golfer in the world, had three individual titles during the 2014-15 season including a second-consecutive first-place finish at the ASU-hosted Thunderbird Invitational. The 2015 winner of the Ben Hogan Award given to the top men’s collegiate golfer, looks to capture his second amateur win of the summer season after defending his title in the Spanish Amateur in July.
Sun Devil rising senior Max Rottluff recorded nine top-10 finishes in 2014-15, including first-place finishes at the Alister MacKenzie Invite and the Arizona Intercollegiate.
