Let that statistic marinate in your mind. This is not the 90 seconds or less Sun Devils under then offensive coordinator Mike Norvell, who put the defense back on the field so fast that there was barely enough time to get a drink, much less plan ahead or get adequate rest.
That's not to condemn Norvell – ASU was scoring repeatedly after all, not going 3-and-out – but he and head coach Todd Graham made it clear that time of possession was mostly irrelevant in an era of big-strike offense.
