Most athletes have at least one superstition that they feel will impact their performance. Some baseball players refuse to step on the foul line. Basketball players think certain shoes to help them win.
In the case of Texas A&M quarterback Connor McQueen, his superstition before playing Arizona State in the season opener is to not use anything that would show him supporting the Sun Devils. And for his pregame meal, that means one thing:
No forks … because Devils use pitch forks, get it?
That’s right. McQueen refused to use a fork and utilized a spoon to eat his breakfast:
