The Sun Devils had knocked off Kansas for the second year in a row, using a different cast and style of play, announcing before a national audience that last year was no fluke. It was time to celebrate.
“That was one of the great sports moments of my life,” coach Bobby Hurley said.
No. 18 ASU (9-2) won 80-76, handing top-ranked Kansas (10-1) its first loss of the season.
