The Pac-12 Conference Council and Athletics Directors Committee has approved a change to the format of the men's basketball schedule at its annual spring meeting Thursday.
The men's conference schedule will go from 18 to 20 games starting with the 2020-21 season. Because of he change the conference schedule will begin earlier.
The teams had previously played home and away games with seven of the other 11 schools. In Arizona State's case last season, it played Washington, Washington State, USC, UCLA only once.
"We continually work with our membership to identify strategic initiatives which can lead to future success in Pac-12 Men's Basketball," Pac-12 Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Jamie Zaninovich said in a prepared press release.
