Arizona State women's basketball is assured of a share of its first Pac-12 championship since 2001, but there will be nothing easy about winning their first outright title.
The No. 9 Sun Devils (25-4, 16-1 Pac-12) close the regular season Sunday at No. 14 UCLA (21-7, 13-4). The Bruins are tied for third with No. 13 Stanford (23-6, 13-4) and hold a tiebreaker edge for the No. 3 seed in next week's Pac-12 Tournament. They also are honoring their seniors, in particular guard Nirra Fields, adding extra emotion to an already important game.
"It will be an epic battle," ASU coach Charli Turner Thorne said after Friday's 50-45 win at USC.
