For the second time this season, Arizona State women's basketball limited high-scoring Oregon and pushed the Ducks to the wire on Sunday.
And again, Oregon had enough answers for a narrow win, 66-59 at Wells Fargo Arena.
No. 21 ASU led 52-47 early in the fourth quarter before an 11-0 run by No. 6 Oregon that included a Satou Sabally 3-pointer and four points from Sabrina Ionescu.
Kianna Ibis hit a 17-footer and a 3-pointer, cutting ASU's deficit to 58-57 with 3:19 left. Ionescu drove for a reverse layup before the game-deciding play. The 6-4 Sabally came down the lane to score and drew a foul for charging into ASU's 6-3 Charnea Johnson-Chapman with 1:49 remaining.
