No 6 ASU Water Polo Opens 2016 Season on Saturday Against IU

TEMPE – The sixth-ranked Arizona State University water polo team will open the 2016 season this weekend at home as it hosts the first of three scheduled ASU Invitationals at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center in Tempe, Ariz. The Sun Devils will square off with No. 14 Indiana in a scheduled doubleheader on Saturday, Jan. 23, with games at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. MT. The two teams will hit the pool again on Sunday for two exhibition matches against each other beginning at 9 a.m. MT, followed by a second game at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION

The Hoosiers finished the 2015 campaign in a three-way tie at the top of the CWPA conference where it just misse out on a bid to the NCAA Championships in a tough 7-6 loss to Princeton in the CWPA Championship game.
