TEMPE, Ariz.- No. 25 Arizona State Women's Tennis (5-3) put up a hard fight against No. 1 Oklahoma State (9-0) before falling 4-0 on Saturday at Whiteman Tennis Center.
Doubles featured a closely contested trio of matches where all three courts went to a tiebreak. Oklahoma State survived the back-and-forth battle, winning the best-of-three doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. On court two, senior and freshman fought back from a 5-6 deficit to force the tiebreak and win their match 7-6 (7-3). The Cowgirls took Court 3 by a score of 7-6 (7-5). With both schools each taking a doubles match, attention was on the doubles-clinching court one match.
