TEMPE - No. 23 Arizona State Men's Tennis (9-4) defeated No. 58 Boise State (6-8) in the first match of the Diablos College Invitational on Friday night. Bor Artnak rallied from behind to secure Arizona State's 4-3 victory.
The Sun Devils took the first two doubles matches to earn the point. Murphy Cassone and Jacob Bullard had no trouble putting away their Bronco opponents 6-1, and Daniel Phillips and Nicola Cigna rallied back from a 5-4 deficit on court three to secure the point 7-5.
Cassone also picked up the first victory in singles, winning in straight sets.
