The No. 21 Sun Devils hit their first three overtime shots Thursday but didn’t produce another field goal, falling to Utah 80-77 in front of a crowd of 11,536 fans at Wells Fargo Arena.
ASU dropped to 15-5 and 3-5 in the Pac-12 and likely will drop out of the Top 25 for the first time since late November. Utah improved to 13-7 and 5-4.
With 2:42 left in overtime, Utah’s Sedrick Barefield hit a 3 to give Utah a 79-76 lead.
