LAS VEGAS – For the second time in a two-week span the No. 19 Arizona State women's basketball team came up just short in its quest to upset a top-five team as it dropped a hard-fought 58-56 decision to No. 5 Louisville at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout on Friday.
Sophia Elenga, who had her first career double-double in ASU's win at Arkansas on Sunday, led ASU's effort on Friday with 13 points and eight rebounds. Elenga (4-5 FGs) and Charnea Johnson-Chapman (eight points, nine rebounds, 4-5 FGs) combined to shoot 8-10 from the floor.
