No. 16 Arizona State women's basketball went up by four points twice in the fourth quarter Friday, and both times failed to put the game out of reach.
That left an opening for UCLA, which capitalized with a game-winning 3-pointer by Japreece Dean with nine seconds remaining at Wells Fargo Arena.
ASU, with no timeouts remaining, raced up the court. Reili Richardson, who scored on a drive with 36 seconds left, missed a contested layup, and the Bruins won 61-59 for their sixth consecutive victory over ASU.
