No. 12 ASU hockey sweeps Robert Morris Arizona Republic
If Arizona State hockey needs a wake-up call Saturday night vs. Robert Morris, it came early in the second period.
The Colonials scored twice in the first minute at Oceanside Ice Arena, taking a 2-1 lead in the kind of game that No. 12 ASU can’t afford to lose in its pursuit of a second straight NCAA Tournament berth.
No sooner did Robert Morris take the lead, though, than it went down two men following holding and goalie interference penalties.
ASU made the most of the power play chances with Brinson Pasichnuk scoring on a 5-on-3 and Johnny Walker on 5-on-4.
